ONE LANDSCAPE
MANY VIEWS

This is the fourth year running that The Culture Company is producing the Photography and New Media Commissions for artists working in Yorkshire. The programme commissions a major body of work by providing opportunities for artists and photographers who work in photography and new media (digital, video, on-line work) to develop new work over a six month period.

This year's theme One Landscape Many Views invites exploration of the possibilities of identity, perception, diversity and change as revealed by urban, rural and personal landscapes. The challenge unearthed some of the most innovative and exciting talent in the region and the varied range of interpretations submitted by the successful artists will result in an eclectic, questioning and emotive collection.

Exhibition opens at Cartwright Hall, Bradford on the 14th February 2003. We are pleased to announce, sharing the £50,000 commissioning budget for the 2002 Awards are:

Liza Dracup
Patrick Ward
Farhad Ahrarnia
Fi Frances
Julian Flynn
Casey Orr
Simon Warner

The commissioning partners for 2002/3 are Yorkshire Arts, The Culture Company and the main sponsor, Bradford 2008, the agency leading Bradford's bid for designation as the European Capital of Culture in 2008.

This project is also made possible by the support of the European Regional Development Fund.
